In January-April 2018, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 5.500 million tonnes of cargo (+29%, year-on-year), the port’s statistics shows.
The Harbour Master’s office says unloading totaled 121,000 tonnes which makes 2.2% of the port’s total throughput. According to IAA PortNews, unloading fell by 37%, year-on-year with loading having grown by 38% to 5.016 million tonnes.
In the 4-month period, transit fell by 20% to 363,000 tonnes making 6.6% of the total throughput.
In the reporting period, transshipment of grain doubled to 2.827 million tonnes, transshipment of oil products climbed by 1% to 1.210 million tonnes.
The number of calls totaled 1,604.
