In January-April 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 417,000 tonnes of cargo (+22%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 25% to 379,300 tonnes including 222,000 tonnes of coal and coke (considerable growth) and 139,900 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-11%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals grew by 91% to 9,600 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo grew by 5% to 19,300 tonnes including 3,600 tonnes of metal scrap (+95%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
