Two more vessels added to Offshore Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company
Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company says it always attaches great importance to renewing its fleets with modern ships. As a result, ACSC currently holds a leading position due to the quantity of the ships within its transport and offshore fleets on the Caspian Sea.
There have been added two more ships within Offshore Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company recently.
New supply – tug boats called “Mardakan” and “Shuvalan” have been furnished with modern equipment including DP1 sustainability system. The mentioned floating crafts are intended for delivery of various types of cargo to sea platforms.
Supply tug boats have wide decks and large capacity cargo tanks for receiving various cargos such as fuel, drinking water, drilling solutions, dry cargo, container, piping and the like.
The length of both ships is 60 m long, width 16 m and speed - 13 knots. Deadweight of “Mardakan” ship is 1700 tons, and “Shuvalan” ship - 1810 tons. Their technical characteristics allows performing loading – offloading operations safely without mooring to the platforms in the sea under adverse weather conditions. And in case of fire in the offshore facilities, the modern fire fighting equipment installed in the ships allows initial intervention in the occurrence.
It should be noted that ACSC will also continue taking measures in modernization and development of its fleet hereafter.
