Roman Podsudevsky appointed as Director of Yalta Commercial Seaport, branch of SUE Crimean Sea Ports from 1 June 2018, SUE Crimean Sea Ports told IAA PortNews.
As Yalta Commercial Seaport told IAA port news, this Order has not yet reached the branch.
Commercial sea port of Yalta specializes in passenger transportation. It is one of the ports accepting cruise ships. The port also handles domestic cargo, mainly construction materials.
Port points and berths owned by the port of Yalta and intended for passengers are also located in other settlements of Crimea – from Foros to Sudak.
Yalta is a non-freezing port with round-the-year navigation. Passenger facilities of the port occupy 12.15 hectares with their water area totaling 8.2 hectares. The port also has an anchorage (No 393) and protected zones near the berths of the port points.
Freight/passenger port point includes a cargo berth equipped with cranes of 10-20 tonnes in capacity, a berth for Ro-Ro ships and ferries with a draft of 6 meters.
Port points and berths: Semeiz, Alupka, Mishor, Lastochkino Gnezdo, Livadia, Zolotoy Plyazh, Gurzuf, Nikitsky botanic garden, Partenit, Rabochy Ugolok, Alushta, Malorexchenskoye and Sudak.
