Russia restricts imports of Ukraine's dairy products
Starting today, Russia will decrease the number of border checkpoints, which will take in Ukrainian dairy products on the Russia-Ukraine state border, according to a decision taken by Russia's veterinary and phytosanitary regulator Rosselkhoznadzor.
Imports will be permitted only at two checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.
This decision was made on account of recent facts of violation of Russian veterinary legislation regarding supplies of dairy products from Ukraine to Russia, which have been registered by employees of regional Rosselkhoznadzor offices. Violations included shipments of uncertified products, incorrect paperwork, among other things, reports RBC.
