Bunker prices in Far East ports remain bullish amid shortage

According to the IAA PortNews Bunker Price Bulletin, the average indicative price at the Port of Vladivostok for high sulfur product IFO380 НS settled at $453.0 pmt, IFO180 НS – at 465.0 pmt, MGO – at $669.0.

Bunker suppliers say they face fuel oil shortage with the bunker price ranging $ 440.0 to $ 480.0 per ton, depending on the viscosity and availability of the product. The market players believe this is artificial shortage, as the companies buy marine fuel for specific applications without reserves, to not lose profits while USD leaps. Bunkering companies expect verry soon new bunker fuel supplies at new price.

Fuel oil prices are ranging between $385 and $405 pmt depending on product viscosity and availability. MGO (DMB) indications are ranging between $660.0 pmt and $680.0 pmt. MGO price at the port of Singapore remained unchanged, at $705.0 pmt.
