On November 5, Marine Recruiting Agency LLC (MRA, a company of UCL Holding) celebrated its 17th anniversary.
The Agency started its activities in 2001 providing temporary personnel to Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC and other stevedoring companies operating in the Big Port St. Petersburg.
In the beginning of 2002, MRA established an in-house training center with its own technical infrastructure. MRA Training Center includes a training area for mastering operation of self-propelled vehicles, classes with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment and simulators of crane operations offering virtual but realistic training of cargo transfer. Even at that time the functions of the training center included initial training, retraining and upgrade training covering port, road-building and other jobs.
On 1 January 2016, MRA was accredited by the Federal Service on Labour and Employment for performing the activities related to provision of personnel.
Today, Marine Recruiting Agency LLC is a center for creation, development and recruiting of competent temporary personnel. The company takes part in state programmes on employment promotion. MRA has already implemented educational projects involving employment centers of Saint-Petersburg, Kazakhstan (“Zhana Serpin”) and Sillamae (Estonia). Every year, the center trains about 2,000 specialists for the companies of Russia’s North-West and Far North as well as non-CIS countries.
All in all, Marine Recruiting Agency has developed and introduced more than 120 educational programmes. Flexible approach to educational process lets the company offer forms of training suitable for its clients’ personnel including efficient onsite and remote training courses. For example, in autumn 2018 MRA offered a new option on remote certification of its partners’ employees using special software solutions. The company is going to continue improvements and to develop new training products.
