Throughput of port Kavkaz in 10M’18 grew by 19% Y-o-Y to 42.6 million tonnes
In January-October 2018, port Kavkaz handled 42.607 million tonnes of cargo (+19%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility increased by 34% to 15.648 million tonnes.
Transshipment of grain grew by 85% to 20.714 million tonnes, oil products - by 5% to 10.885 million tonnes, coal – 2.6 times to 1.278 million tonnes while transshipment of sulfur dropped 2.5 times to 1.148 million tonnes.
Exports from the port fell by 7% to 649,000 tonnes, imports – grew by 63% to 133,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 12% to 25.820 million tonnes.
In the 10-month period, passenger traffic plunged by 74% to 1,400,288 passengers.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 29% to 357,500 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz fell by 14% to 21,083 calls.
