In January-November 2018, Russian seaports handled 746.81 million tonnes of cargo (+4.2%, year-on-year) including 357.1 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+5.2%) and 389.71 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+3.3%), says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot).
Seaports of the Arctic basin handled 83.89 million tonnes (+ 25.3%) including 28.07 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+5.0%) and 55.82 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+ 38.9 %).
Seaports of the Caspian basin handled 4.4 million tonnes (+26.2%) including 2.4 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-3.9%) and 2.0 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (up 2-fold).
Seaports of the Baltic basin handled 224.38 million tonnes (-0.5%) including 100.04 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+5.1%) and 124.34 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (- 4.6%).
Seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin handled 249.67 million tonnes (+1.9%) including 110.52 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+2.9%) and 139.15 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+1.2%).
Seaports of the Far East basin handled 184.47 million tonnes (+5.0%) including 116.07 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+ 7.8%) and 68.41 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+0.6%).
The port of Novorossiysk is still the leader in terms of throughput. In the reporting period, it handled 140.352 million tonnes (+4.8%) including 42.759 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+7%) and 97.593 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+4%).
