Throughput of port Primorsk in 2018 fell by 7% Y-o-Y to 53.48 million tonnes

In January-October 2018, the port of Primorsk handled 53,488,300 tonnes of cargo, which is 7% down, year-on-year. According to the port authority, crude oil transshipment fell by 12% to 38,544,700 tonnes.

In the reporting period, transshipment of oil products grew by 10%, year-on-year, to 14,943,500 tonnes.

In 2017, the port handled 57.60 million tonnes, down 11% Y-o-Y.

Port Primorsk is Russia’s largest oil port in the Baltic Sea. It is the final stage of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS). The port is located in the Leningrad Region, on the eastern coast of the Bjyerkezund Strait (Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea).
