Freight turnover of Neva-Metal (Saint-Petersburg) in January 2019 fell by 26% Y-o-Y to about 190,000 tonnes

In January 2019, ZAO Neva-Metal (stevedoring company of Severstal) handled about 190,000 tonnes of cargo, down 26%, year-on-year, the company told IAA PortNews.

The company attributes this dynamics to the transshipment schedule and the range of scheduled products.

In the reporting period, the company's container throughput totaled about 4,600 TEUs.

ZAO Neva-Metal is part of a transport division of Severstal Russian Steel of Severstal Group. Neva-Metal specializes in transshipment of containerized and general cargo delivered to its terminal in the 3rd Cargo Area of Big Port St. Petersburg by sea, railways and highways. In 2017, the Neva-Metal CJSC handed about 3.1 million tonnes of cargo.
