In the ice navigation season of 2018-2019, icebreaker assistance at the port of Rostov-on-Don was provided to 2,088 vessels, IAA PortNews was told at the Harbour Master’s Office.
According to the statement, 1,041 vessels were escorted to the port and 1,047 units were escorted from the port to the Azov Sea.
Cargo transshipment at the port of Rostov-on-Don totaled 3.8 million tonnes.
Icebreaker assistance period began in the seaport of Rostov-on-Don on 26 November 2018 and ended on 6 March 2019. The season lasted for 100 days.
