Greenway HC acquires logistics terminal in the port of Kotka (Finland)

Joint Stock Company Greenway Europe (OY), a representative office of Greenway Holding Company (Saint Petersburg) in Helsinki, has finalized a deal on purchase of a logistics terminal in the city of Kotka (Finland), the company's press release reads.

Greenway terminal in Kotka covers the area of 2.5 hectares at the territory of Kotka seaport. The area of the terminal’s warehouse facilities totals 5,000 sq. meters, its planned annual turnover is 10,000 teus. The railway approaching the terminal enables Greenway HC handle containers coming to Kotka by sea, road and railway, as well as other dry cargo. The terminal provides the services on handling, storing and customs clearance of different cargoes. Besides, Greenway Europe provides consulting services. As of today, Greenway HC has secured contracts loading 70% of its new warehouse facilities in Finland.

The value of the deal is said to total several million euro.

Andrei Saveljev, Director General of Greenway HC:

- Today, containers coming to the port of Saint Petersburg may stay for over a week at the sea terminal waiting for customs clearance. Many of the customers are not satisfied with such a period. Besides, in January, some of the large container shipping operators closed their services to Saint Petersburg. Thus, delivery of cargo going to Russia via the ports of Finland is still very attractive for many cargo owners.

Greenway HC was set up in 1995 in Saint Petersburg. Today Greenway is a group of companies operating at the market of customs services, logistics, sea and road transportation, oil products trading, bunkering, environmental and legal services.

At the market of customs services, logistics and transportation, the Holding is represented by the following companies: Greenway - Customs Broker, Greenway-Neva, Greenway-Moscow, Greenway-Hamburg and Greenway-Helsinki.

Greenway-Consult provides the customers of the Holding with a complete range of legal services. The client base comprising over 2,000 Russian and foreign importers and exporters includes Gazprom OJSC subsidiary Gazkomplektimpex LLC; oil company Sibur JSC; Amtel tire holding subsidiary Amtelshinprom; plant of household products Era-Henkel; logistics company ATL Holding; brewing concern Heineken; chemical plant GRINN-Plastic; construction hypermarket Maxidom (Laverna Trade House); textile company Lazertach; chemical company TEKS PAINTS; perfume-and-cosmetics companyPhoenix etc.
