Average throughput of Rostov-on-Don port is as high as 20 million tonnes per year, IAA PortNews regional correspondent cites Daniil Buslenko, Acting Harbour Master of the port, referring to the statistics from 2015.
According to him, total throughput increased from 17 million tonnes in 2015 to 24 million tonnes in 2018.
In the reporting period, from the beginning of 2015 to 30 June 2019, throughput of Rostov-on-Don port totaled 91.4 million tonnes including 2.4 million tonnes of imports (2.7%), 48.4 million tonnes of exports (52.9%), 14.3 million tonnes of coastal cargo (15.7%), 4.8 (5.2%) million tonnes of foreign transit and 21.5 million tonnes of short-sea transit (23.5%).
