Rosmorrechflot has developed investment project for expansion of Volga-Baltic canal

Rosmorrechflot has developed investment project for expansion of Volga-Baltic canal for RUR 8 billion, Igor Dmitrenko, deputy head of Rosmorrechflot told Monday in Saint Petersburg. The project is being prepared for consideration at the Ministry of Economic Development. If the project is approved it is to be implemented before 2014. The project implementation is to increase transportation via canal from 19 million tons to 30 million tons. The share of private investments is to make 33-35%.
