Exports rose by 29%
In January-September 2021, port Kavkaz handled 25.154 million tonnes of cargo (-14%, year-on-year). As IAA PortNews’ regional correspondent was informed by the Kavkaz Harbour Master’s Office, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility fell by 12%, year-on-year, to 11.471 million tonnes.
Exports from port Kavkaz rose by 29% to 1.542 million tonnes, imports – by 12% to 38,000 tonnes, while short-sea traffic fell by 12% to 11.991 million tonnes.
Coal handling surged 2.4 times to 1.473 million tonnes. Handling of grain declined by 10% to 14.563 million tonnes. Handling of oil products fell by 8%, year-on-year, to 6.954 million tonnes, sulphur – by 48% to 1.822 million tonnes.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz fell by 46% to 110,600 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz decreased by 28%, year-on-year, to 3,881 calls excluding the calls of car ferries.
