Ukrainian shipbuilding industry output makes $460 million in 2006

In 2006, output of Ukrainian shipbuilding industry totaled 2.303 billion hryvnias (+11.1%, or +$46 million), RZD-Partner reports. Newbuildings constructed by Ukrainian shipyards made $135.5 million, (+15.8%, or +$18.5 million). In 2005, the industry’s output grew by 34.8% (+$107 million), while sales increased by 14.1% (+$14.5 million). Internal market accepted vessels for $35.9 million compared with $26 million in 2006.
