With the establishment of Schenker Industrial Logistics Ibérica, Schenker has broadened the range of professional logistics services available on the Iberian peninsula.
In the future, Siemens Spain will entrust Schenker Industrial Logistics and its specialist logistics expertise with the following business activities: logistics / warehousing, spare parts solutions, added values, shipments and import / export services.
As a result, 55 highly qualified Siemens employees will migrate to Schenker Industrial Logistics.
Schenker Industrial Logistics’ new national subsidiary operates two modern logistics centres in Madrid and Barcelona.
The facilities provide more than 15,000 m2 of warehouse space for IT components, electronics and industrial goods equipment, goods from product system and equipment businesses at Siemens and Siemens Networks as well as other technology companies.
Given their excellent transportation links to the road system within Europe as well as air routes and shipping routes extending beyond Europe, both sites are ideally connected to Schenker’s global scheduled groupage service and system traffic alike.
