Tuapse Commercial Seaport to invest over RUR 40 million into drainage system in 2007
Tuapse Commercial Seaport started implementation of a new environmental project on construction of a drainage system. As the port’s press center reports, the system is to prevent pollution of the port’s harbor waters with subsoil oil products between the Southern break-wall and oil pier. The works are to be carried out throughout 2007. It will consist of three stages. Drained water is to be treated at the facilities of the company’s subsidiary. 1000 cubic meters of underground waters will be treated daily. The development of the project started in 2001. In February 2006 the port was allowed to start the project implementation. As of today, the company concludes agreements for construction works. RUR 4.2 million were invested into designing, while RUR 40 million more will be invested into purchase of equipment and construction works.
