Gazprom to develop Shtokman gas field - Alexei Miller

Gazprom will develop the Shtokman gas field independently, Gazprom's CEO Alexei Miller told Russia Today on Monday, RBC reports. Earlier Gazprom short-listed prospective partners that included Norwegian Statoil and Hydro, American ConocoPhillips and ChevronTexaco and French Total. Gazprom intended to choose one or two partners after holding negotiations and form a consortium for the implementation of the project. Initially, the partners were to be chosen in Q1 2006.
