The cargo turnover of Kandalaksha Sea Trading Port CJSC increased by 71.2% to 93.1 thousand tons in the first quarter of 2006. This was reported to PortNews IAA in the Company. 84 thousand tons of export cargoes were transhipped for the accounting period (+81% in comparison with the similar period of the last year). Including transhipment of coal, which made 39.7 thousand tons (in the first quarter of 2005 transhipment of coal was not carried out), of coke breeze– 44.3 thousand tons (+64.1%).
