The Eastern port is the most deep-water port of Russia of the Far East. It is located in Primorski kraj at a coast of the Japan Sea 20 kilometers from the city of Nahodka, a final point of the Transsiberian highway. Navigation in the port runs all the year round. The port accepts vessels for processing with a draught up to 15.5 meters, 280 meters long and width up to 40 meters. 15 cargo berths and auxiliary berths and an economic jetty are operated in the port. The general length of a berthing line makes about 4 kilometers. Berths are the part of terminals on transhipment of coal, containers, fertilizers, methanol, timber, bulk and general cargoes.
