Throughput of Yuzhny port (Ukraine) up 4.4% in H1 07, y-o-y

In January-June 2007, throughput of Yuzhny port (Ukraine) totaled 11.138.3 million tonnes (104.4% against similar period of 2006), the port’s press center reports. Cargo handling totaled 7.665.4 million tonnes (105.8%). In the 6-month period the port handled 615 vessels and 82,486 open-top wagons. In June 2007, the port’s throughput amounted to 1.831.1 million tonnes against planned 1.743 million tonnes, that is 100.6% against similar period of 2006. Cargo handling totaled 1.188.3 million tonnes (92.6% against H1 2006). In June the port handled 109 vessels and 13,765 open-top wagons.
