Throughput of Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport totals 32.8 million tonnes in Jan-May 07

In January-May 2007, throughput of the companies of Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport totaled 32.775 million tonnes including 3.715 million tonnes of ferrous metal and 435 thou tonnes of non-ferrous metal; 107 thou tonnes of cast iron; 2.006 million tonnes of grain; 900 thou m3 of sawn timber; 556 thou tonnes of chemical (dry) cargo; 95 thou TEU of containerized cargo; 725 thou tonnes of raw sugar;  253 thou tonnes of cement; 359 thou tonnes of iron ore raw materials; 280 thou tonnes of oil; 47 thou tonnes of perishable cargo; 1.755 million tonnes of liquid chemicals (diesel fuel, carbomide-ammonium mixture, heavy fuel oil) and 108 thou tonnes of other cargo, the company’s press release reads. 

The holding Commercial Seaport of Novorossiysk comprises six stevedoring companies of Novorossiysk: Commercial Seaport of Novorossiysk OJSC, Novoroslesexport OJSC, Novorossiysk Ship Repair Plant OJSC, IPP OJSC, NMTP Fleet OJSC, Novorossiysk Grain Terminal OJSC, accounting for over 95% of all cargo transshipment in the port of Novorossiysk and Baltic Stevedoring Company LLC, a terminal in Kaliningrad region.
