Throughput of Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company up 31% in H1 07, y-o-y

In January-June 2007, throughput of Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company made 175,069 TEU (+31%, year-on-year), the company’s press release states. In June 2007, the company handled 29,928 TEU against 23,248 TEU in June 06 (+29 %, year-on-year). In H1 2007, export of containers grew by 29 % – from 49,836 TEU to 64,320 TEU. In June it made 11,560 TEU against 9,614 TEU in June 2006 (+20%). Import grew by 44 % – from 70,099 TEU in January-June 2006 to 101,000 TEU in January-June 2007. In June it grew by 38 % – to 16,727 TEU against 12,163 TEU in June 2006.In January-June 2007, volume of transit containers handled by the company fell by 71% - from 7,877 TEU to 2,323 TEU, which made 1.32% of the terminal’s total container turnover.

Volume of coastal trade containers amounted to 7,426 TEU against 6,472 TEU (+15%). In June 2007 it grew by 8% – to 1,205 TEU against 1,119 TEU in June 2006.
