Throughput of the port of Ventspills up 10.5% in H1 07, y-o-y

In January-June 2007, throughput of the port of Ventspills totaled 16.092 million tonnes of cargo against 14.573 million tonnes of cargo in H1 2006 (+10.5%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 10% to 10.112 million tonnes, loose dry cargo – by 13.9% to 4.703 million tonnes, general cargo – by 2.2% to 1.277 million tonnes.

In 2006, throughput of the port of Ventspills decreased by 0.8 million tonnes to 29.1 million tonnes.
