Philippine vessel sinks, 18 missing
A Philippine ferry sank early Thursday southeast of Manila, leaving four passengers dead and 18 missing, the coast guard said.The MV Blue Water Princess sank around 3 a.m. off San Francisco in Quezon province, 140 miles southeast of Manila, said Lt. Senior Grade Armando Balilo, the coast guard spokesman.
"Initial report said there were 28 people on board. Six were rescued, four were confirmed dead and 18 are missing," Balilo said in a telephone interview.
