Novoship to order 4 tankers to HHI Offshore (Korea)
In September 2008, Novorossiysk Ocean Company OJSC (Novoship) will place an order for construction of four oil product tankers at HHI Offshore Interfax-Yug reports according to yuga.ru. The 112,000-dwt tankers are to be used for transportation of light oil products. The vessels are to be put into operation in August-December 2009. This shipyard has already built 12 C-class Aframax tankers for Novoship with deadweight of 105,000 tonnes each. The last one, NS Creation, was delivered on July 4 of the current year. The fleet of Novoship group numbers over 60 vessels with a total deadweight exceeding 3.7 million tonnes. Major shareholders of Novoship are Rosimushchestvo (Federal Property Management System) - 60.73% of voting shares, RFFI (Russian Fund of Federal Property) – 6.4%, Novoshipinvest OJSC – 8.49%, Intrigue Shipping – 14.41%.
The state’s efficient share in Novoship makes 87.4% considering subsidiaries’ shares.
