Container turnover of Odessa port up 32,2% in H1 07, y-o-y

In January-June 2007, Commercial Seaport of Odessa (Odessa) handled 230.926 thou TEU (+32.2%, year-on-year, RZD-Partner reports. In June, the port’s container turnover totaled 46.49 thou TEU (+18% against May 2007, or +43.7%, year-on-year).  Volume of containers delivered by sea amounted to 123.317 thou TEU, which makes 53.4% of the port’s total turnover. In 2006, the share of container turnover made 55.8%. In H1 2007 import grew by 26.8%.  Export totaled 107.609 thou TEU (46.6% of total volume). A year ago it was 44.2%. As compared with H1 2006 export grew by 38.9%.
