Al Shaheen oil terminal reopens

Qatar’s Al Shaheen offshore crude oil-loading terminal opened after weather conditions improved in the Gulf, two shipping agents said.
The terminal operated by Maersk Oil, a unit of Denmark’s AP Moeller-Maersk, opened late Monday, said the agents.
Output from the Al Shaheen oil field, where crude carriers load oil, will increase to 525,000 barrels a day by late 2009 from 240,000 barrels a day in 2006, according to the website of Maersk Oil.
