In January-June 2007, Ventspils naftas terminals, subsidiary of Ventspils nafta holding handled 6.7 million tonnes of oil and oil products (+3.6 million tones, or 2.2-fold growth, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. Delivery of oil and oil products to the terminal is carried out by railway, sea and pipeline for diesel fuel.
In the first half of the year the terminal handled 4.7 million tonnes of diesel fuel, 1.1 million tonnes of petrol and 0.9 million tonnes of oil and oil products. In June, Ventspils naftas terminals handled 1.3 million tonnes of oil and oil products including 0.8 million tonnes of diesel fuel, 0.2 million tonnes of petrol and almost 0.3 million tonnes of oil and oil products. In 2006, the company handled 5.7 million tonnes of oil and oil products (-29.6%, year-on-year).
