Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard delivers its fifth dry cargo ship project RSD17
The acceptance certificate for the forth dry cargo ship “Euro Cruiser” project RSD17, built for shipping Palmali Group, was signed at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (MNP Group) by Zharkov N.S. (Director General of Krasnoye Sormovo) and Baranov I.A. (Palmali Group), the company’s press release reads.
The lead ship - "Mirzaga Khalilov" – was handed over to the customer in November, 2006; the second vessel - "Ismayl Shikhly" – was handed over to the customer in end of April, 2007, the third one - “Shirvan” – in May 2007; the forth one - «Riad Akhmedov» - was launched in April of the current year. The contract envisions construction of five dry-cargo ships of the project. The fifth vessel is delivered three months ahead of the schedule provisioned by the contract.
Dry-cargo ship project RSD17 DWT 6,270 mt of the restricted navigation area is designed for transportation of all types of general cargoes, including 20-ft and 40-ft international standard containers, metal, grain, lumber, coal, bulky and heavy cargoes. Maximum length of the ship is 121.7 m, width – 16.5 m, depth – 6.20 m, draught –5.06 m. The ship has three cargo holds of total capacity 9,370 cubic meters; capacity of ballast tanks is 3,120 cubic meters, TEU 234. Endurance of the ship is 20/25 days, speed – 11.5 knots, crew is 12/14 persons.
The project of the dry-cargo ships is designed by Maritime Engineering Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). Class is КМ*ЛУ2 I А1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, meets the requirements of international conventions.
