Container loading of East-Siberian railway up 115.4% in H1 07, y-o-y

In January-June 2007, East-Siberian railway loaded about 45.5 thou containers including about 31.5 thou of large-capacity containers, RZD-Partner reports. 69.2% of all containerized cargo transported by East-Siberian railway in the first half of 2007 were carried in large-capacity containers. Year-on-year loading grew by 115.4%, while loading of large-capacity containers grew by 125.3%. In January-June 2007 transportation of containerized cargo grew by 124.4% to over 686.8 thou tones including 637.6 thou tonnes in 686,8. In June, the railway loaded 8.2 thou containers – 116.5 thou tonnes of cargo (106.9 thou tonnes in large-capacity containers).
