ABG Shipyard share up 11% on Thailand order
Shares of ABG Shipyard surged nearly 11% on securing a major order for construction of 12 vessels of approximately 32,000 dead weight tonnes for Rs 1460 crore from Thailand’s Precious Shipping Public Co. Ltd., as a part of its ship acquisition programme.
At 10:55 am, the share was up 10.78% at Rs 506. So far, the BSE counter has seen a high of Rs 515 and low of Rs 460 with volume traded at 78,642 against two-week average of 30,494 shares.
Precious Shipping Public Company Limited is a pure dry cargo ship-owner operating in the handy size sector of the tramp freight market. Following this order, the order book position of ABG Shipyard stands at about Rs 5560 crore, the company said in a notice to BSE.
