NOL moves 12% more cargo in June

Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), the world's eighth-biggest container shipping firm, said it carried 12 per cent more containers on its ships in the four weeks to June 29 compared with the same period a year ago.
NOL said in a statement on Monday that its shipping arm APL carried the equivalent of 185,700 40-foot containers on its ships in that period.
The average revenue on each container carried by the state-controlled firm rose 5 per cent to US$2,726, from US$2,599 in the same period a year ago.
