Shandong builds logistics centre for Taiwanese investors
A commercial and logistics centre for Taiwanese investors has been developed in Rushan, Shandong province.
Taiwan's Kuomintang party vice president Chiang Pin-kung attended the establishment ceremony in China, Xinhua reports.
The centre cost US$1 billion to build and is Shandong province's first logistics facility exclusively for Taiwanese investors. At present, there are 14 projects under construction inside the centre.
Chiang Pin-kung said the co-operation between Rushan and Taiwan will benefit each other and attract more Taiwanese investors to Shandong.
The Weihai Vice Mayor Zhao Xidian said Rushan has vast development potential as it is located in the centre of the "golden triangle" formed by the three most developed cities of Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai in the emerging Bohai Economic Rim area.
