Serdyukov to head United Shipbuilding Corporation's board of directors
Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov is likely to be named chairman of the board of directors of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, the Kommersant newspaper said on Wednesday.
"The defense minister, not First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, will become head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The Federal Property Agency (Rosimushchestvo) has submitted Serdyukov's nomination to the government commission," the newspaper said, citing a source close to the corporation's future general director, presidential military-technical policy advisor Alexander Burutin.
Rosimushchestvo confirmed the information to Kommersant, saying that, "the final decision is to be made by the president, who is to sign a relevant decree.
