Loss of Ukrainian Danube Shipping Co makes $1.8 mln in H1 07

According to information provided by Ukrainian Danube Shipping Co, state-owned company subordinate to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the company’s core business loss totaled $1.84 million, RZD-Partner reports. Gross income decreased by 9.1% to 319.4 million hryvnias (some $63.8 million). In the first half of 2006 the company’s profit totaled 273.5 thou hryvnias (some $54.6 thou), while the gross income exceeded $70 million. The company’s account payable grew by 25%. Current share of Ukrainian Danube Shipping Co in transportation by Danube makes 24%.
