Net profit of Ukraine’s state port sector makes $52 million in H1 07

According to information provided by Ukrainian Ministry of Transport and Communications, net profit of state port sector  totaled 260.293 million hryvnias (some $52 million), which is over 1.5-fold growth (+59.4%), year-on-year, RZD-Partner reports. The Ministry attributes this growth to “cost optimization and growth of income”. Income of state port sector grew by 0.5% (or $3 million) to $603 million while costs totaled $551 million (+7.8%, year-on-year).
