Director General of TransContainer OJSC and Vice-President of C&Jindo co. (China) have signed a direct agreement for purchase of new containers manufactured by Chinese company, finam.ru reports. It is the first direct contract for purchase of container from manufacturer. Two types of containers (40-feet and 20-feet) are to be delivered under the contract (over 5,000 TEU in total). It is planned to put these containers into operation before the yearend.
TransContainer is a subsidiary of Russian Railways OJSC. The priority activity of the company is the development of its own international agency network through efficient cooperation with European and Asian railways and with forwarding companies.
