Yury Lisin, vice-president of Transneft [RTS: TRNF], will be appointed acting president of the Russian oil pipeline monopoly, a company source said on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.
Semyon Vainshtok, former head of Transneft, agreed on Tuesday to President Putin's offer that he head the state corporation to prepare for the 2014 Winter Olympics in the Black Sea resort of Sochi. His eight-year contract as Transneft CEO expired today.
"Semyon Mikhailovich [Vainshtok] presented Vice-President Yury Lisitsin as acting president of the company," the source said.
