Som Petrol offers to modernize Turkmenbashi international seaport

Som Petrol (Turkey) plans to take active part in modernizing the Turkmenbashi international seaport, the company head Sitki Aiyan said at a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on December 4.
According to Sitki Aiyan, a Euro 2,5 billion worth project provides for the creation of modern infrastructure as well as the purchase of new sea vessels, including tankers and dry cargo ships. The implementation of the project will require 15,000 highly skilled specialists. A special education centre will be set up for their training.
The President of Turkmenistan and the head of Som Petrol also discussed issues related to the company's participation in the project on creating the free economic zone on the Caspian coast. It should be recalled that the Turkish company offered to establish modern transport infrastructure in the sea side region during the presentation in Avaza on December 3.
