The number of active timber exporters has increased in Primorye, vladivostoktimes.com informs.
In comparison with year 2006 the number has increased 7% and made up 103, according to report of Ussuriysk customs of the Far East Customs press-service.
Ussuriysk customs cover 94,9 thousand km of territory or 15 out of 24 Primorye districts up to date, that is 57,2 of all Primorye Territory.
Current data exceeds the data of the same period of last year 72,2% and 16,3% respectively.
The biggest volume of exports of round timber was such species as- oak (305 thousand cubic meters), white spruce (301 thousand cubic meters) and ash tree (16,5 thousand cubic meters).
Variety of problems in timber sector of economy created new conditions for easy money, and because of it, attracts more and more light-fingered businessmen, remaining the most criminogenic sector of foreign-trade activity. The number of infringements of administrative law and crimes is growing each year.
If in the nine months of 2006 twenty one cases on infringement of administrative law were brought into action, than in 2006 there are six similar cases more (28,6% more), plus two cases on part 1, Article 188 of Criminal Code of Russian Federation (248,48 cubic meters of oak logs at the cost of 537 thousand Rubles and 14,02 thousand cubic meters of oak and ash logs at the cost of 50 millions 916 thousand Rubles).
