Throughput of Ventspils port up 6.3% in Jan-Nov 07, y-o-y

In January-November 2007, the port of Ventspils handled 28.229 million tonnes of cargo (+6.3%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo amounted to 18.148 million tonnes (+9.4%), loose bulk – 7.730 million tonnes (+0.7%), general cargo 2.351 million tonnes (+2.8%). In 2006, the port handled 29.1 million tonnes of cargo (-0.8 million tonnes, year-on-year).
