Northern Shipping, with ice-breaker escort, on Siberia-Egypt route

Northern Shipping Company has provided Igarka Navigation with its export route of timber via Igarka in northwest Siberia to its main destination of Alexandria, Egypt, according to Russian Transport Daily Report www.dars.ru.
The first vessel to call at the port on the Yenisey River was the Peter Strelkov, escorted by the icebreaker passing through the Kara Strait, which later was approaching Alexandria. The second vessel, the Vlas Nichkov recently arrived at Igarka.
The summer months have seen seven vessel's from NSC fleet deliver 100,000 - 110,000 cubic metres of sawn timber and large vessel loads with a volume of 16,000 cubic metres. It has an expected shipping duration of six to seven days in Igarka.
