Stevedoring companies of Leningrad Region increased volume of cargo handled in H1 2008 by 4% amounting to 49.3 million tons

Stevedoring companies of Leningrad Region in H1 2008 increased volume of cargo handled in the water area of the ports of the Gulf of Finland by 4% amounting to 49.3 million tons as compared to the results of H1 2007. This information has been provided by the press service of the Leningrad Region government. Cargo turnover of Ust-Luga port increased by 11,1% to 3.4 mln tons. Primorsk port transhipped about 37.2 million tons of oil for export (+3%, year-on-year). Vysotsk port handled 8.2 million tons of cargo (+9,4% year-on-year). Cargo turnover of Vyborg port increased by 16,9% to 556.9 thou tons.
