CMA-CGM to start new S Korea's - Europe service

Gyeonggi Province has launched a new sea route linking a port on the west coast with Europe via China and Malaysia.
The provincial government said Friday that nine 4,000 to 5,000 TEU containers from France’s shipping line CMA-CGM will start shipping services using the new route between Pyeongtaek Port on the west coast and Europe.
The vessels will depart Pyeongtaek Port, stopping at the ports of China, Malaysia, Turkey, Romania and Ukraine before reaching Europe.
The launch of the new route is expected to raise container shipments handled at Pyeongtaek Port by 55 TEU annually.
