Vladivostok Commercial Seaport increases throughput of export cargoes by 90% to 1,8 million tones in Jan-July 08

According to company report, throughput of Vladivostok Commercial Seaport up 44% to 3.598.9 million tones of cargo in Jan-July 08: export totaled 1.876.2 mln tones (+90% from Jan-July 07). Handling of export containers surged to 55.142 TEU, handling of export metal goods to1.197.3 mln tones. Handling of import cargoes grew by 15% to 1.081.6 mln. tones.

The port specializes in handling of dry and liquid bulk cargo, timber and general cargo including containers. The port has 17 berths. Two of the berths are cargo-and-passenger ones. All the berths except for berth No 16 are multi-purpose berths. Berth No 16 specializes in handling of large-capacity containers. The port also has two refrigerator warehouses with a capacity of 5,000 m3 each.
