Net profit of Primorsk Shipping Corporation up to RUR 50.8 mln in Q2 08

In Q2 2008, net profit of PRISCO (Primorsk Shipping Corporation (Singapore)) amounted to RUR 50.807 million (up 1.9 times, year-on-year), the company’s report reads. In the reported period, the revenues  totaled RUR 110.058 mln (compare with 133.9 mln in Q1).
As of today, PRISCO operates 19 tankers with total deadweight exceeding 1.350 million tonnes. Major directions of the company’s activities include export from Russian ports and transportation of cargo between foreign ports: South-East Asia, Europe, West Africa, Australia, USA, South America. Besides, PRISCO vessels carry coastal trade cargo.
Crude oil accounts for 80% of cargo transported by the Corporation. Besides, PRISCO transports oil products, edible oil and chemical cargo.
OJSC Primorsk Shipping Corporation specializes in marine transportation of bulk liquid cargoes. Ice class vessels including large-capacity ones equipped for operation in freezing seas conditions make up the core of the сompany’s fleet. The Primorsk Shipping Corporation’s activities include commercial and technical management, agency services and training qualified specialists in sea transport and gas-and-oil producing industry.
