Norwegian shipping company Odfjell SE issued its report for the first half of the year on Wednesday (13 August), posting an operating profit (EBIT) of USD82m, as compared to USD135m in the first half of 2007.
The decline was due to higher prices and a weaker US dollar. Revenues amounted to USD724m, up from USD605m in the first half last year.
Earnings per share amounted to USD0.49, down from USD1.21 in the first half last year.
